Job Description

Purpose of Job:

Represent USAA Real Estate (USAARE) as the head of Investor Services and Reporting (ISR). Supervise and train staff responsible for fielding investor inquiries, distributing investor correspondence and preparing investor reports. Ensure that investors receive all requested information in an accurate, timely and courteous manor. Support other groups including Marketing, Portfolio Management and the Global Investor Group’s client facing teams with timely data to support the operations and marketing efforts of the firm.  Supervise the data management function and ensure that USAARE continues to develop best practices for data governance.

Essential Duties:

  • Ensure that the ISR team maintains open lines of communication with investors so that USAARE provides best in class service.
  • Coordinate the compilation, review, and distribution process for quarterly and annual reports to investors.
  • Establish procedures to ensure that investor service levels do not decline as assets under management grows, striking the right balance between personal touch and institutional quality.
  • Manage and develop the ISR team.  Ensure team members are productive and working in areas that provide maximum value-add.
  • Review and approve reports such as Fund Status Reports used for internal purposes.
  • Coordinate with the Head of Due Diligence to ensure that due diligence questionnaires and other prospective investors requests are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Serve as the liaison and host for investor operational due diligence reviews.
  • Perform other essential duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Quantitative Analysis, or related field.
  • 7-10+ years of applicable experience in investor reporting. Real estate private equity experience strongly preferred.
  • Supervisory experience, with proven skills in developing and motivating a team to achieve high performance.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Exceptionally strong analytical and communication (both verbal and written) skills. 
  • Ability to work extended hours as needed.
  • Experience with Yardi preferred.
  • Proficiency in both US and international real estate reporting standards (NCREIF, INREV, etc.) preferred.
  • Qualifications may warrant placement in a different job title.
